Premier Oil announces update on Chrysaor merger: UK regulatory condition satisfied, Mexican approval received

Premier Oil has announced that all of the regulatory conditions relating to the Company’s merger with
Chrysaor have now been satisfied and all of the requisite anti-trust approvals have been received.
Following receipt of notice from the Oil and Gas Authority (OGA), the regulatory condition to the Transaction regarding Premier’s and Chrysaor’s licence interests in the UK has been satisfied.
In addition, Premier has received anti-trust approval in relation to the merger from the Mexican Economic Competition Commission.
Following the positive creditor vote on 22 February, the Transaction remains subject to sanction by the Scottish Court of the restructuring plans expected to take place on 19 March.

Integrated subsea technology and services provider
Ashtead Technology has invested £1million to develop a new R&D and engineering facility in Aberdeenshire. The firm has also launched a recruitment drive to bolster its operations as part of its long-term business goal.
Upgrading an existing site at Thainstone Business Park, the new 15,000 ft2 technology centre located in Inverurie features an engineering, research and development suite, a dedicated equipment trial and testing zone, and a 10-ton overhead crane to support on-site fabrication and machining capabilities. The facility also has an acre of yard and storage space.
Iran: Iran to start oil production at Khesht field

The CEO of the
Iranian Central Oil Fields Company said plans were under way to start crude oil production at the
Khesht oil field in the first half of the next Iranian calendar year which starts on March 21, 2021.
According to
South Zagros Oil and Gas Production Company, Ramin Hatami, during his visit to the Khesht oil field on Saturday, said: Early production of this field will be operational by launching three wells in first half of next year and the produced oil will be sent to Nargesi Production Center via a 10-inch pipeline which stretches 17 kms.
